Pretty New Christmas Dresses

Aunt MaryJean always buys the most beautiful dresses - and this year is no different! Tehya and Ada both look like Christmas angels if you ask me!

Getting ready for Christmas - Train Style

Dan and Tehya enjoyed setting up the Christmas train this year - a gift from GG Dixie and Papa Charlie. Tehya thought it was "totally awesome" that the train went around and made noise!

Ada's new Toy

GG and Papa Charlie (my grandparents) brought Ada a gift that she adores
Ada spent over an hour tonight playing on the floor with the puppy toy She giggled and laughed everytime she was able to grab it. The ears crinkle and crunch so she thought that was really funny! She also seems to get quite a kick out of it when we squeeze the legs for her - they each make a different sound!

Tehya Turns 4!

Tehya has celebrated her 4th birthday - oh goodness where has the time gone?!?
This year after much deliberation (its a big decision you know) she finally settled on having the Disney Princesses cake.
We had quite the housefull to celebrate which is always a lot of fun. Tehya was quite spoiled with gifts yet again - most of them being noisy things that mom and dad would never have bought for her!
One gift she received was a new winter coat and snowpants from Grandma Sue. Some other fun things she received included lots of Littlest Pet Shop goodies from Grandma Diane, a new fancy leotard for dance class from Sarah, a remote control snowmobile from Dylan and Alicia that she wasnt quite sure about since she couldn't ride on it, a Barbie electric guitar with speaker microphone (thanks a lot Jackie) and a talking trainable toy parrot that has succeeded in scaring me several times already since it is motion sensitive. (Please note Brian, paybacks to tend to hurt). I am going to stop there because to be honest if I detailed all the gifts she got this blog entry would be quite extensive - our little Miss Tehya was quite the spoiled birthday girl this year!
At days end Tehya was looking pretty satisfied!

Ada's Baptism

Ada was baptized on Sunday December 2nd
I know I am quite biased, but doesn't she look absolutely precious?

Ada's on the Move!

Ada has discovered the joy of hanging on to toys and gets the giggles when she can get them to make noise. One of her favorite things to play with right now is rattles.

We found one of Tehya's favorite baby toys in the box of goodies that was packed away - her little Piglet rattle! Ada has decided that she likes it quite a bit as well!

Ada has also been trying very hard to roll over recently. She kicks and squirms and pushes her little body trying so hard to make the move....but hasn't quite made it yet. I'm sure we won't have long to wait!

Tehya the Dancer

Grandma Sue found a bunch of my old dance recital costumes packed away in one of her closets...and lucky for Tehya a few of them just happen to fit her perfectly!
Miss Tehya has also officially started dance class this month - she goes once a week for a ballet and tap lesson with a class of six other 4 and 5 year old girls. So far she seems to absolutely love it... Hopefully it will keep her interest long enough to make it to the recital in May!
